Annual Reunion

The 24nd Annual Reunion will be held in October 19, 2008, times and place at a later date. There will be an informal dinner the night before for those that wish to attend. For more information call Arlene Verity, 781-294-8603.

The third quarter board meeting will be July 26 @ 1 PM at the Counting House

The fourth quarter board meeting will be in October 26, 2008 after reunion, date, place and time to be determined.

Old Berwick Historical Society 2008 Programs

South Berwick's Congregational meeting house built in 1826, now the First Parish Federated Church

 

 

Film, literature, music and theater join the history lectures and activities of the Old Berwick Historical Society of South Berwick, Maine, in 2008. Admission is free at most events. For programs at Berwick Academy, please enter on the Fogg Memorial driveway and use the parking lot at the top of the hill.

September 25 - 7:30 (Berwick Academy) -"Portsmouth to South Berwick - An Armchair Cruise Up the River" -- Join Nate Hazen for this pictorial virtual tour riding the flood tide up-river and enjoy the sights, both current and historical, with this kaleidoscopic presentation.

October 23 - 7:30 (Berwick Academy) -"Eigthteen Hundred and Froze to Death" -- Berwick Academy history teacher Brad Fletcher offers a look at New England's famous "year without summer," 1816.

November 1 - 7:30 pm (Spring Hill Lodge) THE LIGHTING UP BALL -- Our annual fundraiser and an evening of community fun. Everyone is invited to eat, drink and dance the night away to support the Counting House Museum and local history programs. Wear your party clothes or historical costume.

November 20 - 7:30 pm (Berwick Academy) – “The Greatest Generation - World War II Memories " -- wJoin Ernie Wood, moderator, and a panel of World War II Veterans as they share experiences and photos of their heroic war.
